Nghe An: Producing 1.2 billion post larvae (29-08-2017)
In the first 8 months of 2017, Nghe An province produced over 1.2 billion post larvae, up 5 per cent compare to the same period last year, of which more than 1 billion PL of white leg shrimp and 178 million PL of black tiger shrimp.
Currently, the province has 85 shrimp seeds production establishments which are mainly located at Hoang Mai town, Quynh Luu commune, mostly serving for provincial demand of 1,700 hectares and other provinces such as Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nam Dinh and Quang Nam. In the first 8 months of this year, the provincial shrimp seed production was nearly 4,558 tons, with productivity of 3.3 tons per hectare.
