Strengthening inspection of producing and trading shrimp seeds (08-05-2017)
Recently, the Directorate of Fisheries has coordinated with Department of Economic Security of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries - Ministry of Public Security (A86) and Division of Economic Security of Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan (PA81), conducted an unexpected inspection of 17 producing and trading seed shrimp in two provinces.
During the inspection in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces, the delegation has discovered 11/17 establishments who sold shrimp seeds withouth business registration or conduction of production.These establishments have collected unidentified shrimp seeds in market, or used fake label for shrimp seed in order to cheat the shrimp farmers. This brought negative effect to farmers and other establishments who work legally.
For other 6/17 establishments, the delegation has checked the legal documents of registration and conditions of producing and trading brackish shrimp seedsaccording to Circular No.26/2013/ TT-BNNPTNT dated 22 May 2013 by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on aquatic breed management. All the violations have been handled.
