The Department has directed the Fisheries Department to release fish in the natural waters in the area. From 2017 up to now, there are more than 40,000 tilapia, bighead carp, grass carp, common carp released with a total amount of more than 67 million VND. Under the direction of the Department, the Management Board of Con Co Marine protected area (MPA) co-ordinate with the Institute of Marine Research deployed scientific research, experiment on coral culture and restoration of marine resources. Officials and staff of two units planted 360 new hard coral groups in Ben Nghe with a survival rate of 71.1%. To date, some coral corporations have covered the bottom of about 1-2/10m2.

At present, the Con Co MPA Management Board has delimited the new coral reef protected area with a marked float system; periodically dived for survival and cover check; well done the patrol and control to protect this reef. Management Board of Con Co MPA also actively coordinates with the following organizations: Fisheries Sub-Department Inspector, Border Guards ... to patrol, control and protect spawning grounds for aquatic species.

In addition, in order to prevent the decline of aquatic resources, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has instructed the Fisheries Sub-Department to provide detailed guidance on information on seasons, fishing gear and target aquatic species for sending to localities such as prohibited fishing activities; trades and types of fishing vessels prohibited in some areas; notification of prohibited areas, prohibited objects and seasons forbidding aquatic exploitation.

At the same time, fishermen are also given specific information on fishing vessel development policies such as the priority of developing gill nets fishing, nets fishing, fishing gears and logistic services; Encouraging trawlers to migrate to priority occupations; suspending the building of fishing vessels for trawl fishing; coordinating with branches, localities and people in controlling exploitation and protection of precious and rare aquatic species.
