Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that the export situation from the beginning of the year has been difficult; in which, the export turnover of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in the first 2 months of 2019 reached US$ 5.5 billion, down 1.6% compared to the same period in 2018. In that difficult situation, the export of aquatic products in the first 2 months of the year reached US$ 1.11 billion, up 4.4% over the same period. This is considered a bright spot of the agricultural sector and it is expected that seafood will continue to make an impression in 2019 with the goal of exporting over US$ 10 billion.
