On April 23, 2025, a landmark event unfolded at the headquarters of Kunihiro Inc. in Hiroshima, Japan, as the Vietnam Fisheries Association (Vinafis) and Kunihiro Inc., a leading Japanese enterprise specializing in oyster production and processing, formalized a memorandum of understanding (MOU). This agreement marks a pivotal milestone in the bilateral fisheries relationship between Vietnam and Japan. The signing ceremony, witnessed by representatives from both parties and facilitated by the proactive support of the Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, paves the way for transformative opportunities in Vietnam’s oyster farming and processing industry. The collaboration aims to align Vietnamese oyster production with the stringent standards of international markets, with a particular focus on Japan’s rigorous quality requirements.
