Shrimp Festival to be hosted in Ca Mau (31-03-2017)

According to the People’s Committee of Ca Mau province, the province has received the official document from the Governmental Office about hosting Shrimp Festival at Ca Mau, in which Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has directed that Ca Mau’s People Committee must actively work with relevant ministries, departments, agencies, and organizations to set up detail preparation related to the Festival.

Additionally, the Deputy PM also urged Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to quickly adopt requirements of the Prime Minister about making general regulation of the festival.

Currently, Ca Mau has the country’s largest shrimp output and cultivation. Ca Mau’ shrimp products have been exported to 90 worldwide countries and territories with an annual turnover up to over USD 1 billion, accounting 35 per cent of shrimp export turnover of the country, creating jobs for more than 300,000 people.
