Ha Noi City: Aquaculture towards safety ways (19-06-2019)
According to a review of the Hanoi Sub- Department of Agriculture and Rural Development that total production of aquaculture in the whole city reached 51 thousand tons in the first months of this year. It increased by 4.08 percent compared to that in the same period of 2018; the productivity was from 10 to 15 tons per hectare.
The achievement of higher production is due to that local farmers apply intensive-aquaculture models, replicating models of raising high-yield carp, monosex tilapia, cage - farming of hemibagrus.
In order to improve productivity and quality, aiming to export some freshwater fish products, the Hanoi Sub- Department of Agriculture and Rural Development proposes the localities in the whole city to focus on guiding farmers to culture fish in a safe direction, focusing on support of aquaculture in the planned areas. In addition, emphasis on training aquaculture techniques for farmers, cooperate with entreprises to set up a value-chain from production to consumption.
