Khanh Hoa province: Fishing output reached 57,000 tons in the first half of year (12-07-2019)
According to statistics of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the first 6 months of 2019, thanks to favorable weather conditions, provincial fishermen have exploited 57,000 tons of aquatic products, reaching 57.4% of the year plan.
Currently, the provincial fisheries sector continues to promote the implementation of the Fisheries Law 2017 that took effect from the beginning of 2019; Decree No. 26 in 2019 providing detailed regulations for a number of articles and measures to implement the Fisheries Law 2017; Directive No. 45 in 2017 of the Prime Minister on a number of urgent tasks and solutions to overcome the European Commission's warning against Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated fishing. Up to now, awareness of Fishermen in the province has many positive changes. From the beginning of the year until now, in the province, there are no cases of fishing vessels violated foreign countries’ water area, the implementation of laws and regulations on combating illegal fishing is also conformed by fishermen.
