All fishing vessels with a length of 24m or more in Quang Tri have to install Movimar equipment to monitor the cruise before August 15, 2019.

To effectively implement the Prime Minister's Directive 45 / CT-TTg on a number of tasks and urgent solution to overcome the European Commission's warning (EC) on combating illegal, uneported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong just requested departments, and agencies to complete the installation of Movimar for fishing vessels with a length of 24m or more  before August 15, 2019 to monitor the operating of vessels on the sea.
Quang Tri Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with the Fisheries Information Center of the Directorate of Fisheries speeds up the installation of Movimar equipment with satellite navigation connections for all fishing vessels with a length of 24m or more.
Fishing vessels installed with this equipment must ensure the equipment is opened 24/24 when operating on the sea. If not, it will be severely fined.
The system of monitoring marine fishing vessels is one of the important contents recommended by EC.

 
In addition, departments and branches have promoted and set up a fishery inspection and control office at Cua Tung and Cua Viet fishing ports in August 2019.
Thereby, controlling the operation of fishing vessels at the port and supervising the loading and unloading of aquatic products through ports, traceability of aquatic products, for certification; investigate and strictly handle organizations and individuals to illegally fish in foreign waters; Strict control of fishing vessels arriving and leaving ports.
Since the beginning of 2019, Quang Tri province has implemented many solutions to combat IUU exploitation. The province has instructed over 700 boat captains and ship owners to record exploitation logs; distribute more than 2,000 leaflets propagating the ban on illegal fishing.

 
Functional forces also organized 16 maritime patrols, inspected 250 ships, handled 11 violations in the fisheries sector; at the same time actively implementing regulations on certification of aquatic resource origin.
