Over 90% of captured tuna reach quality standards thanks to the production chain (23-08-2019)
Khanh Hoa Fisheries Department has just reviewed the first 6 months of 2019 on the situation of implementing the chain of exploiting, collecting, processing, consuming ocean tuna between T&H Nha Trang Co., Ltd and the Truong Sa Fishery Cooperation Group.
Accordingly, with the initial 3 vessels participating in the chain, up to now, it has increased to 7 vessels registered to join with T&H Nha Trang Company Limited.
According to the assessment of the Department of Fisheries, this chain model has now operated stably, helping fishermen exploit and improve the tuna production and quality. Specifically, in the first 6 months of 2019, T&H Nha Trang Co., Ltd. and Truong Sa Fisheries Cooperative Group have made 25 voyages, with a total output of over 41 tons, equivalent to about 1.6 tons / trip.
On the quality of preserved tuna, over 90% of products are qualified, of which type A reaches above 14% on average. Buying price that T&H Nha Trang Co., Ltd. paid for ship owners is always higher than market price, at about 1,000 VND / kg. Therefore, the ship owners participating in the chain are very excited.
