Propagating and disseminating laws to offshore fishermen (25-01-2019)
In the morning of 11 January, at An Ninh Tay Commune People’s Committee, Tuy An District, Phu Yen province, An Hai Border Guard Station (Phu Yen Border Guard Station) in collaboration with An Ninh Tay Commune People’s Committee, fishery department of Phu Yen province and Bao Minh insuranceorganized a conference to propagate and disseminate laws to off-shore fishermen in Tuy An district.
At the conference, fishermen were disseminated about the 2017 Fisheries Law, which came into effect on January 1, 2016; Directive No. 45 / CT-TTg on December 13, 2017 of the Prime Minister on a number of tasks and solutions to overcome the warning of the European Commission on combating illegal fishing, not reporting and not complying with regulations; project on development of the ocean exploitation profession and organizationleading fishermen to exploit aquatic products in water area of some countries; Decree No. 17/2018 / ND-CP on February 2, 2016 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree 67/2014 / ND-CP, on July 7, 2014 of the Government about a number of fisheries development policies; Directive No. 01/2015 / CT-TTg, on September 1, 2015 of the Prime Minister on organizing the movement of all people participating in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security ...
At the same time, the fishermen were directly instructed by the sectors about the process, procedures and solutions for problems in implementing administrative procedures related to supporting the sea voyage according to the Prime Minister's Decision No. 48 / QD-TTg on insurance assistance policies ...
In Tuy An district, there are currently nearly 200 vehicles with capacity of 90CV or more, of which 89 vehicles are well qualified for offshore fishing. Propaganda has contributed to promptly provide information of the law, create favorable conditions for fishermen in the process of operating on the sea, encourage fishermen to cling to the sea in combination with participating in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the country.
