The provincial PC assigned the coastal districts, the PC of Quy Nhon city to promote communication and education for related fishermen, organizations and individuals; Seafood exporting enterprises must fully comply with the provisions of the Fisheries Law 2017, Directive No.45/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister.

At the same time, reviewing of ship owners and captains in front of local communities for education and deterrence are organized. In case any locality still has the status of illegal fishing vessels in foreign waters, the local leader must be responsible to the Chairman of the provincial PC.

Furthermore, the Provincial Border Guard Command chaired and coordinated with the Provincial Police, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, related agencies, PC of coastal districts and PC of Quy Nhon City to strengthen monitoring and strict management of the a number of local fishing vessels which have been operating for a long time at sea and regularly leaving ports on other localities.

Coordinating the timely sharing of information with the relevant authorities to handle promptly when IUU fishing acts are detected; continuing to prepare documents to deal with violating fishing vessels in August, 2019 about violating foreign waters.

In addition, the provincial police assigned the units and localities to strengthen the investigation, verification and strict handling of brokerage organizations and individuals, and organizations that brought Vietnamese ships and fishermen to declare illegally exploiting seafood in foreign waters. The acts of abusing fishing ships or exploiting aquatic resources to smuggle, organizing illegal exit are needed to handle according to law provisions.

Coordinating with functional forces, departments of the province to propagandize to prevent and minimize the situation of illegal fishing vessels and fishermen fishing in foreign waters are mentioned.
