Celebrating the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, as well as 62 years of the traditional Vietnamese fisheries sector (05-05-2021)
The General Department of Fisheries' Youth Union collaborated with units directly under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Directorate of Fisheries on March 27 in Hanoi to coordinate activities to celebrate the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union's 90th anniversary (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2021) and 62 years of traditional Vietnamese fisheries (April 1, 1959 - April 1, 2021).
Reviewing the glorious tradition of 90 years since the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and 62 years of creation, growth, and development of the fisheries sector, confirming the accomplishments, significant progress, and inspiring pride in the young people, public servants, officials, and employees working in the Fisheries Industry. At the same time, it is motivated to maintain a spirit of unity, a sense of duty, and a desire to complete assigned tasks successfully.
Broadly disseminating information about the process of constructing, establishing, and developing the fisheries sector from 1959 to the present to all civil servants, officials, and employees in the General Department, arousing pride, shock, and imagination among youth union members in the General Department. The Directorate of Fisheries' Youth Union has collaborated with Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development units and the Directorate of Fisheries to organize a series of welcoming activities, including: (1) a meeting to celebrate 62 years of transmission in the Vietnamese fisheries sector; (2) Planting trees in response to the "For a Green Vietnam" program of planting 1 billion green trees and the introduction of the "Green, Clean, and Beautiful Office Program"; (3) Cultural exchange, music, and sports to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union's establishment and 62 years of tradition in Vietnam's fisheries sector; (4) 62-year glorious traditional education and activities organized in the fisheries sector of Vietnam.
President Ho Chi Minh visited fishing villages and fishermen's relatives in Tuan Chau and Cat Ba islands in late March and early April 1959, according to history. "My silver sea is owned by our people," Uncle Ho said here. Uncle Ho's teachings express brilliant ideas about the marine economy's limitless potential and raise awareness about the Fatherland's sovereignty over the sea and sacred islands. The Prime Minister's decision on April 1 every year is officially the traditional day of the Vietnam Fisheries Industry, according to the aspirations of the Fisheries industry and the majority of fishermen.
The fisheries sector has progressed significantly over the last 62 years, from a limited manufacturing sector to a significant economic spearhead in the national economy, always achieving the growth rate. High growth helps to increase income, enhances the economic, cultural, and social lives of fishermen, and contributes significantly to sustaining stability and protecting the sovereignty of the sacred seas and islands.
In addition, every year on this occasion, the Directorate of Fisheries and localities across the country organize a variety of events, including: releasing fish to restock resources, organizing celebrations, activities, and promoting the glorious traditional education of the Vietnamese fisheries sector.
