Hanoi City: Aquaculture production is estimated at 51,000 tons (23-08-2019)
Hanoi Fisheries Department said that from the beginning of 2019 until now, the city's aquaculture area is about 21,000ha, of which 4,300ha are concentrated farming with an estimated output of 51,000 tons, reaching 42.5% of year plan, increased 4.08% compared to the same period in 2018.
From the beginning of the year until now, the consumption of seafood in the city area is about 12,125 tons.
To ensure food safety, Hanoi Fisheries Department regularly organizes training courses to guide aquaculturists to produce VietGAP standards; improve product quality control knowledge; application of high technology in production; apply water quality management and disease prevention and control methods in aquaculture.
