Buiding Ninh Thuan Shrimp Brand (29-01-2019)
Ninh Thuan province has built a provincial shrimp brand with a 10-year term of protection.
The high average temperature with good quality of sea water and relatively stable salinity are favorable conditions for Ninh Thuan to develop the shrimp industry. As a result, the provincial authority competent have soon planned the shrimp breeding area along the coast, and attracted investment in shrimp farming in depth.
An Hai commune, Ninh Phuoc district is one of the concentrated shrimp production areas of Ninh Thuan province. In addition to shrimp hatcheries, fisheries quarantine units here are with the aim to provide technical support as well as monitor production and aquaculture activities. This forced shrimp hatchery enterprises to strictly comply with regulations for safe and disease-free shrimp supplies.
There are nearly 500 shrimp hatcheries in Ninh Thuan with over 3 billion shrimps per year, accounting for about 35% of breeding demand of countries. These figures partly confirm the position and shrimp brand in Ninh Thuan province.
Recently, the National Office of Intellectual Property has issued a certification of the shrimp breed brand to Ninh Thuan province. It is expected that about 36 billion high quality shrimp will be produced and then supplied to the market in 2020. It leads to the fact that Ninh Thuan could become a center of high quality shrimp breed production in the country.
