Quang Tri province: Trieu Phong district – Fishing yield in the first 10 months reached nearly 2,500 tons (07-11-2017)
According to the People's Committee of Trieu Phong district, fishing and processing activities in the locality are being restored.
The district’s total captured output in the first 10 months of 2017 reached nearly 2,500 tons, reaching 74.7 per cent of the plan. Of which marine catch reached 2,269.7 tons, reaching 76.4 per cent of the plan. The aquaculture activities in Trieu Phong is gradually stabilizing. The area of aquaculture reached 730.8 hectares, reaching 82.3 per cent of the plan. The harvest yield in the first 10 months was at 1,276 tons, reached 61.1 per cent of the plan.
In addition to the upgrading fishing boats and on-boat equipment, fishing gears, fishing activities were also ameliorated. The localities have been actively implemented the application of scientific and technical advances in fishing while introducing new fishing methods which are suitable to fishing grounds in order to protect environment and develop aquatic resources.
