According to the General Statistics Office, the country's seafood production in July 2019 was estimated at 740,500 tons, up 4.6% over the same period last year, including fish reaching 539,700 tons, up 5.4%; shrimp reached 97,800 tons, up 1.5%; other aquatic products reached 103,000 tons, up 3.5%.

Aquaculture production in July was estimated at 400,000 tons, up 4.7% over the same period last year, of which fish reached 267,100 tons, up 6%; shrimp reached 87,600 tons, up 0.9%. Pangasius production in July was estimated at 127,700 tons, up 6.3% over the same period last year, of which Dong Thap reached 44,500 tons, up 5.3%; An Giang reached 38,700 tons, an increase of 10.1%.

Production of black tiger shrimp in July was estimated at 34,100 tons, up 2.5% over the same period last year, of which Bac Lieu reached 14,000 tons, up 9.2%; Tra Vinh reached 2,200 tons, up 15.8%.

Fishery production in July 2019 was estimated at 340,500 tons, an increase of 4.5% over the same period last year, of which fish reached 272,600 tons, an increase of 4.9%; shrimp reached 10,200 tons, up 6.3%. Marine exploitation in July was estimated at 324,300 tons, up 4.7% compared to the same period last year, of which fish reached 261,900 tons, up 4.9%; shrimp reached 9,100 tons, up 5.8%.

Generally for 7 months of 2019, aquaculture production was estimated at 4,521,000 tons, up 5.6% over the same period last year, of which aquaculture production reached 2,321,200 tons, up 6.3% ; The output of exploited aquatic products reached 2,199,800 tons, an increase of 4.9% (the output of marine exploitation reached 2,099,600 tons, an increase of 5.1%).
